Mounds View teams won a pair of championships on Sunday as a part of a five-game football feast at Mounds View High School.
The 3rd Grade Mounds View Raiders coached by Dean Bonde defeated St. Anthony White 25-0 to claim the championship. The Raiders finished their season 9-1.
The 4th grade final was decided between two Mounds View teams. The Jets, coached by Kevin Waters, defeated the Mustangs, coached by Kenneth Holloman, 12-6. The Jets (10-1) only loss during the season came at the hands of the Mustangs, who finished their season 8-2.
In 6th grade, the Mounds View Jets, coached by John Abercrombie and John Duffy, defeated previously undefeated Andover Gold in the semifinals to reach the title tilt. They were clipped by Centennial in the finals, 27-6, and finished their season 9-2.
The 8th grade Mounds View Raiders suffered their first loss of the season in the title game, falling to Champlin Park. The Raiders had beaten the Rebels earlier in the season, but lost the rematch to finish 11-1.
It was a solid showing by Mounds View teams at every level, and capped a successful season.
