PLAYOFFS - How do they work?

The following information was current as of the 2014 season...

All teams from the 3-4th grades participate and are seeded according to their records in a single elimination championship format.  The playoff schedule usually starts the last week of October, and we hope to be finished by the first weekend in November.

All the 5-6th grade teams are broken down into pools (usually 2 or 3 based on your record) and all will participate on some level of single elimination playoff football.  You will be matched up with teams with similar records and there will be a Tier 1 Champion, Tier 2 Champion, etc.   The playoff schedule usually starts the last week of October, and we hope to be finished by the first weekend in November.

For the Weight Limit division, the top TWO 8th Grade Weight Limit teams will play each other, the top TWO "mixed weight" teams will play each other, and the top TWO 7th Grade Weight limit teams will play each other.

For 7th Grade and 8th Grade Unlimited, usually, 6-8 teams will advance into a single elimination playoff format.  Non-conference or "cross-over" games do not count. In the event of a tie, the first tiebreaker is head to head competition, and the second tiebreaker is overall record, including non-conference games.  Not all teams advance into the playoffs for 7-8th Grade Unlimited.

Please note: We will not have the playoff schedules released until the mid to latter part of October due to the fact that many communities are dependent upon using High School fields.  Once the High School Varsity teams have determined their open fields, we can finalize our fields and playoff schedules.
