Mounds View Youth Football

3rd grade teams are formed by MVYFA, with every attempt made to balance teams by player size, and to group teams by school and neighborhood.  Teams will play in the North Metro Junior Football League against teams from St. Anthony and Irondale.  Teams are made up of approximately 15 players, with the format being nine-man football on 60-yard fields. Most games will be played on Saturday afternoons and Monday nights.  Each team will play eight regular season games and the season will culminate in a single elimination playoff tournament ending near the first of November. Players who weigh more than 95 pounds at registration weigh-in will NOT be allowed to carry the ball throughout the entire season.

4th grade teams are formed by draft.  Teams will participate in the NMJFL against teams from Irondale and St. Anthony.  Teams are made up of a minimum of approximately 15 players, with the format being nine-man football on 60-yard fields.
