The North Suburban Youth Football League will be played by National Federation Rules with the following exceptions:
1. Ten-minute stop time quarters. On a change of posession, the clock will start when the chains are set, unless it was stopped at the end of the previous play for any reason (ex: incomplete pass, out of bounds, etc.).
2. Two points for a conversion kick, one for a run or pass.
3. In the event of a tie game, only one overtime period will be played during the regular season.
4. Teams may use either a regulation or intermediate size ball.
5. The minimum playing time for each player is 1/4 of the plays over the course of the season. Coaches are encouraged to meet this in each game, unless discipline is an issue.
6. In the weight limit league, no player weighing over 130 pounds will be allowed to participate.
