    Training From MVHS Football Program

    Hi all,

I hope this email finds you and your family healthy and well. These are unique times that come with an opportunity to grow and develop in many areas. I am so grateful for our community and the way I have already seen people step up in the midst of a storm.

As a Mustang Football Program, our mission is to use the game of football to build accountable men who will attack life by loving a serving others with grateful hearts. The adversity we are facing as a country and world is a great opportunity to show our character. One of the reasons I love this great game is that our guys are constantly being sharpened for the real world and the adversity that they will face. We need more and more Leaders who will Love and Serve others.

One of our top priorities is to build the bridge between the high school and youth program. I want our high school guys to be great role models for our younger boys. We want to be Uncommon in all we do!

During this time, we have developed the Mustang Challenge full of workouts to develop physical strength. Each workout includes an Uncommon Challenge. Last weeks Uncommon Challenges included: reading for 30 minutes, writing a card to someone they look up to, facetiming a grandparent, and offering to help out around the house.

This week is our Second week of the Mustang Challenge. We will have speed workouts on Monday-Wednesday-Friday posted on our website at mvmustangfootball.com. The full body workouts will be on Tuesday-Thursday on our Mounds View Mustang Football account on youtube. The link can be found on our football website.

Great ways to stay connected with our program include:

    Instagram: mvmustangfootball
    Youtube: Mounds View Mustang Football

You will find great uplifting content via any of these social media channels. Please give us a follow and share with your kids. This week we are starting a Get To Know Your Mustang segment. Your son will get to know our players, what they are interested in, and an encouraging message for our younger guys!

Thank you all for your time!

    Go Mustangs!

    MVYFA Mission Statement

The goal of the Mounds View Youth Football Association is to provide every player a positive youth football experience.

We strive to find and provide the best leagues, facilities, equipment, and coaches we can so that each player may enjoy success on the field.  Our goal is to provide to all players the safest, most educational, competitive, and fun environment we can.  We will make certain that every player is coached so that he has the opportunity to learn the skills necesssary to be a more complete player, and the importance of filling whatever role necessary to help his team be successful.

Our volunteer organization will work before, during, and after the season in an attempt to ensure that each and every participating player learns the importance of teamwork, the value of self discipline, the merit of sportsmanship, and the respect for the game, his teammates, his opponents, and authority figures such as parents, coaches, and officials.

We hope that each player will finish the season feeling that he improved as a player, a person, and a teammate.  That he had fun on the field, and was an important part of his team.  Most importantly, that he wants to return to the field for the following season.
