Mounds View High School Sponsored Training
Starting this summer there is a new 2020 Mustang Summer Strength and Speed program which will involve athletes entering 7th and 8th grade. Historically this program has been offered to grades 9-12 only, until now!
This program is the foundation for our HS Football team’s success on the field. The kids will develop muscular strength and become more explosive through the speed training. In the weight room, everyone will learn proper technique for a variety of exercises, with the emphasis always being proper range of motion, technique and body control. The weight room staff is primarily varsity football coaches who do a fantastic job working with our kids, and the speed training is run by Coach Ylkanen (O-Coordinator) and Coach Redman (Defensive Backs) who are the head coaches for the girls track program.
Not only will they become faster, stronger, healthier, and more confident, but they will be continue to develop behaviors and characteristics that allow them to become better football players, better teammates, and more importantly better people. It is a great environment to continue our “One Team One Herd” culture that we have been preaching to our kids. It is also a wonderful opportunity for your kids to get experience with our great HS coaching staff, their goals, and their vision for the future as they prepare themselves for their final year of middle school Football and transition to high school.

Summer Camps will be released in Spring 2020
